Ford's Co-Pilot360

Ford has a great reputation for creating advanced safety technology. For 2019, the manufacturers are taking their stance on safety a bit further. The new Co-Pilot360 feature is a suite of standard driver-assist technologies that will debut on 2019 models. We here at Ourisman For & Lincoln are very excited about the changes to come.

The suite features five different key features. All models will have Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, a rearview camera, a Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alerts, automatic high beams, and a Lane Keeping System. Typically, these types of features can only be found on higher trim levels or in optional upgrade packages. However, Ford is showing their commitment to safety by including them in all full-line vehicles.

All of these features use a series of sensors and cameras to monitor the vehicle's surroundings at all times. When potential issues arise, these systems will provide audible alerts and may take action to avoid a collision. Overall, this change can make a big difference in how Alexandria drivers approach the road.
