Washington DC and Arlington-area drivers can still order their own 2021 Ford Bronco through Ourisman Ford of Alexandria

The Ford Bronco is back! After a few delays and a $750 million upgrade to the Michigan Assembly Plant, Ford finally has the long-awaited adventure-ready SUV rolling off the line and on its way to Ford dealerships across the country. Built with rugged durability and the confidence to go over any terrain (G.O.A.T), the new Ford Bronco is the flagship and icon of Ford's new Built Wild and only 4x4 vehicles.

The original Ford Bronco got its start back in 1965 at the same plant, then called the Michigan Truck Plant, and was produced through five continuous generations until production ended on June 12, 1996, for a total of more than 1.1 million Broncos. Now the all-new sixth-gen 2021 Bronco two-door and first-ever four-door models have started their journey to customers who have been patiently waiting since placing their reservations last summer.

Ourisman Ford of Alexandria will be contacting customers as soon as their Broncos arrive at our dealership to finalize sales and arrange delivery. Drivers looking to purchase their own Bronco but haven't yet placed an order can still do so by getting in touch with Ourisman Ford at their convenience.

There's a whole lot to be excited about in the new Ford Bronco. Here's a quick look at just a few of our favorite Bronco attributes.

Power for Every Adventure

Customers can select from two available powerplants. The standard engine is an energetic 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo-four producing 270 horsepower and a best-in-class 310 pound-feet of torque (four-cylinder gas models with premium fuel). Two first-in-segment transmission options are available to handle the gear changes. For the purists who want to row their own gears, there's a class-exclusive 7-speed manual (6+1 super-low crawl gear) with a best-in-class 94.75:1 crawl ratio. And if you'd rather let the vehicle make the decisions, you can go with the precision and smoothness of a segment-first 10-speed automatic.

For Oxon Hill and Fort Washington, MD, drivers seeking even more internal motivation for their off-road adventures, there's an available twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost that boasts a class-leading 310 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque (six-cylinder gas models with premium fuel).

Capability to Go Over Any Terrain

The standard three-mode four-wheel-drive system features Part-Time Selectable Engagement and a two-speed, electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case. Or, drivers can opt for the Advanced 4x4 System with Automatic On-Demand Engagement and a two-speed electromechanical transfer case.

With the advanced Terrain Management System™ and up to eight selectable G.O.A.T. modes, Ford made the 2021 Bronco accessible to all skill levels. All models come standard with Sand, Slippery, Sport, Eco, and Normal modes, while the supremely capable Badlands trim adds Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl modes and swaps Sport mode for Baja mode.

Versatile Accommodations

Ford designed the Bronco to be nimble enough for the trails yet spacious enough for Mount Vernon drivers to enjoy ample elbow room and cargo space. Behind the rear seats, two-door models retain 23.6 cubic feet for cargo and gear, while four-door models have 35.6 cubic feet. And with the second row folded, those numbers increase to 58.4 and 77.6, respectively.

Available rubberized floors, marine-grade vinyl upholstery, and integrated drains allow for easy spray downs, so you don't need to worry about getting a little dirty. There are also thoughtful touches like programmable rubber switches and a dashboard rack for mounting phones or action cameras.

Next-Gen Technology

The all-new Ford Bronco is the perfect showcase for Ford's all-new SYNC 4 infotainment technology. The standard 8-inch touchscreen system features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, cloud capability, and over-the-air updates to ensure it's always running the latest features. Available tech features include on and off-road voice-activated navigation, a 6.5-inch digital instrument display, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.

Additionally, all 2021 Bronco models come standard with Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. And for enhanced road-going safety and convenience, Co-Pilot360™ driver aids are standard on the Outer Banks trim and available for supporting tiers. Available driver aids include:

  • Lane-Keeping Aid
  • Front and Rear Sensors
  • Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • 360-Degree Surround View Camera System
  • Auto High-Beam Headlights
